Isolated Posts and Government Housing Committee (IPGHC)
The Isolated Posts and Government Housing Directive (IPGHD) came into effect on April 1, 2003. Recently, the IPGH Committee agreed to make some minor editorial corrections to the document. The main changes are as follows:
Section 1.9: A paragraph with regard to employees subject to meals or rations charges has been re-inserted to correct an oversight.
Section 2.3: The point of departure in example #2 has been corrected to indicate Ottawa.
Section 4.13: This section dealing with recovery of travel or transportation expenses was corrected to properly reflect that posts with a classification of 1 or 2 (as opposed to 4 and 5) are two-trip posts and posts with classifications of 3, 4 or 5 (as opposed to 1, 2 or 3) are one-trip posts.
A paragraph dealing with the recovery of benefits for posts with a classification of 3, 4 or 5 was added.
Some additional editorial changes were made. All corrections are effective immediately.
