The Occupational Health and Safety Committee reviews and makes recommendations on present and proposed Public Service policies and standards on occupational safety and health and other directly related subjects.
This Committee reviews the Uniforms Directive, the Directive on First Aid to the General Public - Allowance for Employees and the Occupational Health and Safety Directive and hears final level grievances on these authorities, when required by the Executive Committee.

Regular activities:
- The Committee has met once (1) since the last Council meeting and held one (1) ad-hoc meeting.
- The Committee wishes to note the departure of Employer Side representative, Arik Payette, from Canada Border Services Agency as well as the departure of Bargaining Agent Side representative, Joy Thomson, from Canadian Merchant Service Guild and to thank them for their contributions to the Committee.
- The Committee welcomed a new Employer Side representative, Cynthia Bernier, from Global Affairs Canada, and a new Bargaining Agent Side representative, Bernard Talbot, from Canadian Merchant Service Guild.
Outstanding Items:
- Nil.
- The Committee received a request for interpretation related to environmental conditions for office spaces, which was reviewed by the Committee in March and in April.
