Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the rates for FSD 50 – Post Travel Assistance and FSD 56.11 – Post Specific Allowance cannot be established based on the approved methodology for June 1, 2021.
Agreement has been reached at the National Joint Council (NJC) FSD Committee to:
- continue to apply the June 1, 2019 rates for FSD 50 - Post Travel Assistance and FSD 56.11 - Post Specific Allowance for the period commencing on June 1, 2021 until such time as the approved methodology can be applied;
- adjust amounts paid upward or downward if new rates are established for 2021-2022; and
- assess the situation regularly and at a minimum every three months.
As such, Departments are advised to continue to pay these two allowances as applicable based on the June 1, 2019 rates until further guidance is provided on next steps.
